About the Role

 

We are seeking applications from qualified and experienced trades people to join our team at our Kandos Field Service Centre. Your trade qualification can be either a Distribution Powerline Worker or Electrical Fitter Mechanic.

 

Working as part of a small crew, you will be involved in all facets of underground, overhead and substation construction and maintenance activities as well as emergency restoration work.  You may also be required to be involved in after-hours fault & emergency response work when required.

 

Essential Criteria

 

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following essential requirements:

 

  • Trade Qualification as a Distribution Powerline Worker or Electrical Fitter Mechanic
  • Sound knowledge of construction and maintenance practices for the underground and overhead distribution network
  • Experience in installation, repair and maintenance of both overhead and underground substations
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Personal commitment to working safely and good knowledge of OH&S policies and procedures covering field operations
  • Current HR driver’s licence

Desirable Criteria

 

The following would be highly desirable:

 

  • HC licence
  • WorkCover Certificates C2, DG, Forklift & EWP
  • Traffic Control Certificates
  • DN1 Switching, DN2, & DN3 switching
